Temperance

Temperance

Temperance comes to mind as we move from the year of 2020. Temperance is defined by Webster as a moderation in action, thought, or feeling or as the restraint of a habitual indulgence of the appetites or passions.
Temperance helps one learn to have control over actions, thoughts, or feelings. This moderation can be practiced in all instances such as, the use of little or no liquor, controlling a diet plan, or working through physical deficits as well as mental short comings.

A man should always consider how much he has more than he wants, and how much more unhappy he might be than he really is.

Joseph Addison

We must continue to practice temperance as this year has helped to bring into focus the many areas that moderation can be used.

May you also recognize the blessing of Temperance in your daily lives.
